I thought that the
950CFM would be too big for the two engines that I will run it on .One
is a 350ci and the other is a 415ci but the guys at "CarbShop"said
that it was the best setup for what I had intended. Well I have to say
that they were correct. It does run a little rich when the supercharger
is disconnected but it is surprising how well it run. With the supercharger
connected it is very well behaved. There is a 3AN hose that balances the
two bowls under pressure and a 3AN port that connects to the "carb
hat" to pressurize the shafts. There is also a small vacuum port
under the bowl to provide signal to the bypass/blowoff valve.
There is no real provision
for vacuum powered devices such as power breaks as that port has been
capped. There will only be limited vacuum at idle and pressure above idle
so what i decided to do was to drill a 0.5" hole on the side of the
RPM AIR-GAP manifold on the linkage side and tap it to accept a 0.5mpt
to 6AN endura elbow. Then I connected a 0.2 psi stainless steel 0.5"
check valve to the elbow and then plumed that into a vacuum accumulator
tank to power the vacuum driven power breaks - works flawlessly. |
