"Well upon jacking the front center of the car to do a little grinding I heard a loud pop, then a cracking noise..."

This is where the fun begins.. Ok so I repositioned the jack to behind the front suspension and started to do a some exploratory to find the source of these bad noises. What I discovered was the Master #$@%@#$#@$ Fabricator who installed the NEW Restoration Design front pan did so with big strips of double sided tape and JB Weld, o- and a few poor spot welds just for safety. He did this in trade because at the time I was too busy to do it myself and I had not decided that I wanted to do a full build on this chassi. The pop noise was the JB Weld and spot welds letting go, the cracking noise was my nice custom fiberglass radiator surround being ripped down the side. Arrrrrr...

So in my aggravated state and compounded by the thoughts of having to redo all this work, I had a better idea, KILL!!!! ...... I just cut the front of the car off, I suddenly felt much better because all the parts that we bothering me were now laying in my back yard and I had a clean slate to work with

My plan was to weld in a firewall to protect the fuel cell, make the front much more rigid, and provide a mounting base to build a tube front end. This is a 3/16 A36 plate welded inside and outside to the unibody.

My first thought was to run it with the intake/output facing up but this turned out to not fit well.

Ok this is final position on the Radiator with the intake/output flanges facing down, fans on the bottom pulling, and AC on top. I plan to connect the side intakes of the EVO1 bumper to aluminum boxes that will connect to the wedge shape openings above the radiator ( just below the light buckets) to force air though.
