The
ignition consists of a MSD ProBillit Distributor driving a MSD 6AL on
vibration mounts and a MSD Blaster HVC coil on vibration mounts.
There
is no vacuum advance because of the boost.
The
original MSD 8.5 wires failed at the boot, where it turned to mush and
started arcing to the headers. I called MSD and they suggested their
Race Boots with Boot Armour and ProSleve over the wires. So I built
a set of wires from scratch with these parts and also wrapped the headers
with black header wrap and it seems to have solved the problem
The
plugs are NGK V power plugs gapped to .045
The
headers are tight because of the weird relocated sparkplug holes in
the ProTopLine racing aluminum cylinder heads.
