6.8L Supercharged Motown 950hp @ 25psi / 732hp @ 14psi

The car started life as a silver metallic 1984 911 Targa Carrera
Then was purchased in running condition in 1988 from a used car lot in Georgia. It was later fitted with steel 930S vented flares , steel boxed rockers , fiberglass 930s front , 8 x16 & 10 x 16 gold BBS wheels and painted red.

It was rescued from a abandoned restoration and slow death uncovered in a Florida back yard where it was slowly sinking into the soft sand for a number of years. This is where the story begins!

After hauling it from Florida in its Mad Max condition I totally disassembled the car and steam cleaned it.

Problem 1: After removing the front fenders and gas tank I discovered that the old battery had spilled acid and rust - rot had eaten the front pan and weakened the front suspension pickup points.

Solution : Ordered new pan from Restoration Design, cut out old pan, welded in new one and finished the seams.

Problem 2: Engine was shot, wiring was shot (mice), trans was not 100%, (stock) suspension was shot.

Solution : Built a car stand , dropped engine and sold it on e-bay, removed ALL of the cars wiring , set 915 tranny aside for a rebuild , removed all of the front and rear suspension.

Problem 3: Upon striping the car I discovered evidence of a number of poor quarter panel repairs, the door skins were badly dented and filled with bondo, and the galvanizing had been previously removed with a wire grinder.

Solution : Ordered new door skins from Restoration Design , cut the rear quarters off two inches from the bead, and primed the bare metal with House of Kolor two part primer.

Ok, so here is where I take a moment to evaluate what I had gotten into. I had a good targa uni-body, a usable 915 tranny, and a bunch of parts that I would not put back into a car that I would want as a daily driver. I spent a lot of time trying to decide what to do and was leaning toward a 74RSR theme but it was a Targa...

Then I drove a friends 2002 Viper and we trounced a 930 in Dallas without too much effort. This got me thinking of the time I was severely trounced while driving a upgraded 930 in Atlanta by a GT flared 914. Upon catching up with this burgundy 914 at the local mall the driver showed me the 350V8 where the 1.7L should be. He took me for a spin ( literally ) and let me take it for a run around the parking lot. Cold AC and 400HP Hmmmmm....

This is when I decided that this 911 had been abused to the point that I would just go ahead and do something crazy with it, so I took it to the drawing board with catalogs in hand.

993 GT2 style light weight body.
Make the Targa into a Cabriolet
Beefed up 930 Limited Slip tranny
Some form of monstrous supercharged V8
Fuel cell
Roll bars
Huge deep wheels and massive rubber
Big brakes
New leather interior
COLD AC

Goal: A very expensive looking bastardized German HotRod that would be grossly overpowered and retain street legal reliability.
